Vote For The Best Fiction Book (National Book Foundation)

nationalbookfoundation

The National Book Foundation is holding a vote for the best fiction book. 140 writers got to nominate their picks, and the list has been narrowed down to 6 finalists:

The Stories of John Cheever

Invisible Man, by Ralph Ellison

Collected Stories of William Faulkner

The Complete Stories, by Flannery O’Connor

Gravity’s Rainbow, by Thomas Pynchon

The Collected Stories of Eudora Welty

Right town it’s a tight race between Ellison and O’Connor. As an added bonus, if you go vote, you’ll be entered into a contest to “win two tickets to the 60th National Book Awards on November 18, 2009 and two nights in the Marriott Hotel Downtown, compliments of Marriott!”

Good luck!

Vote For The Best Fiction Book (National Book Foundation)

My vote is for Collected Stories of William Faulkner.

The list is formidable, I cherish many of the author’s works. As a writer myself, Faulkner is the most inspirational.
    Sincerely.
