Writer Adam Cozad has been asked to develop a script for a new feature film based on the Mark Greaney’s thriller novel “The Gray Man”, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cozad will be adapting the novel for the big screen for New Regency Pictures.

Greaney’s novel features a CIA operative who becomes a rogue assassin. In the novel the operative uses the alias “The Gray Man” and finds himself on the run across Europe trying to evade mysterious forces that are trying to kill him.

New Regency Pictures obtained the rights to make a film version of “The Gray Man” and the movie will be produced by Shine. Cozad is by no means a newcomer to the spy game, having previously written the original script for “Dubai” as well as working on “Rules of Deception” for Paramount and “The Brotherhood of the Rose” for Warner Bros. Cozad is currently working on another project, writing a script for a new Jack Ryan film at Paramount.
