Classic Novels in 60 Seconds or Less

How fast can you tell a story? Better yet, how fast can you tell a classic story like The Great Gasby? Well, folks over at Lit Drift have come up with this novel approach where they get all kinds of artists, whether they be writers, musicians or actors to summarize their favorite novels in 60 seconds or less with no time to prepare.

I think that this is a great idea. It reminds me of the Angry Aliens project where bunnies summarize an entire movie in 30 seconds or less. It also made me wonder who I would like to see performing a classic novel summary. Here are a few names that I could think of off the top of my head:

– Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) from Glee
– Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) from The Office
– Abed (Danny Pudi) from Community.
– Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) from How I Met Your Mother.
– Sheldon (Jim Parsons) from The Big Bang Theory

How about you? Who would you like to perform a classic novel summary? In the meantime, check out the first summary performed Matt Mazur, a NYC-based folk and comedy musician.
