Lexink’s Unloder to Offer Way to Buy and Sell Used Digital Media

The software company Lexink released its plans to offer the public a way to buy and sell digital media, but instead of new media, they will concentrate on used, according to MediaBistro.

The tool called “Unloder” will be similar to a used book or music store. The consumer can exchange used media for credits and then exchange those credits to buy other used media. MP3s, eBooks and digital videos can be either bought or sold.

The software will remove the digital media from the consumer’s computer and transfer it to “Unloder”. The consumer can then exchange the credits received to purchase other used digital titles. “Unloder” will pay the media’s publisher.
