Rick Riordan Tweets About the KANE CHRONICLES 2

Rick Riordan recently tweeted about his progress on the second book in The Kane Chronicles series (follow his tweets @camphalfblood). He will wrap up work on the still untitled book this week, and it will be published in May 2011.

The Kane Chronicles tells the story of Carter and Sadie Kane, who find that they are descendants of the Egyptian pharaohs. The siblings inherit powers of Egyptian gods, and use it to help fight the forces of evil. We gave a positive review to the first book in the series, The Red Pyramid, and expect Riordan to deliver again in the sequel. If you haven’t read The Red Pyramid, there’s a free preview of the first chapter on Riordan’s website.

Are you excited about the new Kane Chronicles book? What do you think will happen with Sadie and Carter?

I really like the Red Pyramid because I think Eqyptian mythology is more ineresting than Greek mythology. But I also like the Percy Jackson series. And I can’t wait for the second Kane Chronicles book because I really hope Carter finds Zia.

I read it and it was very great. I’m thinking that the 2 book would be the same as the first one.
