Is Fall TV Cutting Into Your Reading Time?

How many books have I read this week? Zero. Zilch. Nada. And I blame it all on TV.

The fall 2010 TV season kicked off this week, and so many of my favorite shows like Glee, Castle, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Community, and Fringe returned. I even watched a few new shows I was curious about like The Event, Hawaii Five-0, Raising Hope, Detroit 1-8-7, and Outsourced. Whew, now that I’m typing that out, that’s a lot of TV!

So now it’s Friday, and I’m realizing that I haven’t picked up a book in almost a week. Yikes! All that time in front of the TV really cut into my reading time.

Are any of you guys addicted to both books and TV like I am? Do you find yourself reading less in the fall?

YES! Such a good point – instead of reading, I’ve been catching up on all my favorite shows’ (cough, Glee, cough) premieres on Hulu.

Yay, another Glee fan! I love that show.

    Yes, of course!! 😉

That’s why I am now reading only comic books, way faster to read than an actual book.

That’s a good point! Maybe I should finally read Fables Vol. 11, which has been sitting on my coffee table for weeks now. :)

Yes, I trying to read The Passage and catch some of the new shows and my favorite old ones. I usually end up reading until midnight or later. Thank God for my DVR :)

Hmm… there is this black box in the living room that my roommate always has on and so I am driven to my room to read. Is that what you are talking about? 😉 I very rarely even turn it on!
