No More Harry Potter For Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe

J.K. Rowling, the author behind the “Harry Potter” books, told film star Daniel Radcliffe in a text message that she had no intention of writing any further “Harry Potter” editions that would involve the title character. Radcliffe revealed this fact during an interview with MTV News at the New York City Premiere of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1.”

When interviewed on the red carpet in New York, Radcliffe informed MTV News that he received a text message from Rowling herself a week ago, after the film’s premiere in London. Radcliffe said the basic message of the text was that Rowling would be writing no further installments with Harry Potter as a character in the franchise.

The first of a two part feature film finale, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1” premieres around the globe this coming Friday. The final “Potter” film hits theaters on July 15th, 2011.
