Black Friday 2010: eReader Deals

Black Friday is only a few days away, and now is the time to plan your early morning shopping strategy. If you or someone on your shopping list wants an ereader, several retailers have advertised Black Friday deals on popular devices.

According to Walmart’s Black Friday ad, they will have the Sony Reader PRS-300 for $99 (it’s currently $139 on Walmart.com). The ad says this will be available on Friday from 5-11 AM, while supplies last.

Over at Best Buy, you can get Barnes & Nobles’s Nook Wi-Fi ereader for $99 (a savings of $50). The doorbuster deal starts at 5 AM on Friday morning, and there will be a minimum of 10 per store.

TJ Maxx and Marshalls were reportedly selling Apple’s iPad for $399 (a $100 savings) last weekend. However, according to this article, finding the cheap iPads was something of a scavenger hunt. There’s no official word on whether they will repeat the promotion this weekend.

UPDATE 11/24 – Amazon just tweeted: “Black Friday Deal: Limited number of previous gen Kindle (same E Ink as current Nook) for just $89! Deal starts 11/26 at 9 am PST.”

So will you be up early shopping for deals this Friday? Is there an ereader on your holiday shopping list?
