Nook eReader From Barnes & Noble Gets a Massive Update

Nook Color

Owners of the Barnes & Noble Nook eReader should be aware that the book giant has recently released a software update for the popular eReader. The update includes changes to the sync function, security improvements, organization tools, and new optimized search tools.

The Version 1.5 release from Barnes & Noble will now allow users to sync the last page they read in a particular book across all their devices. Nook users can now organize their eBooks much like they would normal books on a shelf with the new “My Shelves” tool. The new security feature allows users to lock their Nook when it goes to sleep, require a key code to wake it up, and require a password to purchase new content on the device.

Nook users need only establish a Wi-Fi connection to update the software from Barnes & Noble.
