Oprah’s New Book Club Picks: Charles Dickens’ A TALE OF TWO CITIES and GREAT EXPECTATIONS

Grab your Trapper Keepers and prepare to have flashbacks to high school English class—Oprah is expected to announce two Charles Dickens’ titles as her latest Book Club picks on today’s show. According to the Associated Press, Penguin has bound A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations together in a single paperback edition with the Oprah Book Club logo on the cover.

The paperback has a list price of $20, although it’s currently $13.51 on Amazon. Penguin is selling the ebook version for $7.99, but since these are public domain titles, you can get them for free in the Kindle Store (A Tale of Two Cities, Great Expectations) or for .99 in the NOOK store. eBook versions of both are also available for free from Project Gutenberg.

So is this the best of Oprah’s picks or the worst? Will you be reading along with Oprah?
