Google eBooks: A Quick Overview

Google eBooks

Google’s new online bookstore, known as Google eBooks, now allows readers to view books on a number of different platforms. The new online retailer will provide customers with access to a large library of free and paid texts on numerous devices across different networks.

The new venture from Google includes apps that allow eBooks to be purchased and read through a web browser, iPhone, Android phone, iPod, iPod Touch, and iPad. Once the app is downloaded from the respective service provider, users will also have the ability to view books as ePubs with Adobe DRM files.

Google has the potential to be a leader in the eBook industry. The company has been scanning books for years and has a data collection that is unmatched at three million titles.
