Management Guru Drucker Finds Fame in Japan Five Years After Death

What if the Female Manager of a High School Baseball Team Read Drucker's Management

Despite having passed away five years ago, Peter Drucker rose to new heights of fame in Japan during 2010. At the center of his newfound fame in the land of the rising sun is a novel that is a mouthful to pronounce.

The bestselling novel in Japan for 2010 was entitled “What if the Female Manager of a High School Baseball Team Read Drucker’s Management?” The book has sold some two million copies since hitting the shelves in Japan last December, helping push Drucker and his management techniques to the forefront of Japanese pop culture in 2010.

Drucker is widely regarded as the founding father of modern management techniques and was a guiding force for executives such as Andy Grove of Intel and Jack Welch at GE.
