Barnes & Noble Releases New iPad Nook App For Kids

Barnes & Noble has released a new app for the iPad entitled Nook Kids. The new app provides thousands of children’s books in digital form on the popular Apple e-reader.

The app opens up Barnes & Noble’s massive catalog of children’s content to iPad users and includes over 100 interactive children’s books as well. As part of the promotion for the new app, customers will find two free children’s books in their digital library after signing up. The chosen books are Richard Scarry’s “Colors” and Rudyard Kipling’s “The Elephant’s Child.”

According to Barnes & Noble, the app has been designed so that children may easily use the program to find their favorite books with little to no help. The app is now available for free at or through iTunes.
