Nora Roberts Sells Over 1 Million Kindle eBooks

Amazon announced yesterday that Nora Roberts has become the third author to sell over 1 million Kindle ebooks. That includes books sold under both her name and her pseudonym JD Robb. This milestone makes Roberts a member of the “Kindle Million Club,” which recognizes authors whose books have sold over 1 million paid copies in the Kindle store.

The two other members of the “Kindle Million Club” are Stieg Larsson and James Patterson. It’s interesting that Larsson beat the prolific Patterson and Roberts to the 1 million mark first since his body of work consists only of the three books in the Millennium trilogy. Patterson has written more than 65 books and Roberts is the author of over 200 novels.

As we recently mentioned, 2011 will be another busy year for Nora Roberts. On tap are two new entries in the In Death series (Treachery in Death, New York to Dallas), a new standalone novel (Chasing Fire), and she’ll launch The Inn Boonsboro Trilogy in November.
