People Tweet More About The Amazon Kindle Than The Nook

You won’t find official sales figures for the Amazon Kindle or Barnes & Noble Nook coming directly from either retailer, but never fear a solution to this problem has been found. One company has decided to ease your nerves by judging the popularity of the two devices on Twitter.

Crimson Hexagon has developed a marketing report on the Kindle, Nook, Nook Color, and iPad as an e-reader based upon an analysis of Twitter conversations about the devices. Their efforts revealed that Twitter fans Tweet about the Kindle twice as often as they do the Nook. The Nook color came in third on the list, followed by the iPad as an e-reader.

This study should be viewed with a cautious eye though as the title of the report touted the emergence of the Nook in the e-reader market, but went on to point out that the Kindle remains the dominant force in the marketplace based upon its dominance of conversations on Twitter.
