Though the terms have yet to be disclosed, eBook Technologies has announced that it has been acquired by Google. According to eBookNewser, the acquisition comes only a month after the launch of the Google eBookstore and is bound to help Google deliver even more media eBooks on tablets and eReaders.

eBook Technologies made the announcement on their website and it reads:

“Working together with Google will further our commitment to providing a first-class reading experience on emerging tablets, e-readers and other portable devices.”

More on the new from The Wall Street Journal:

“It was not immediately clear how Google intends to use eBook’s technologies, which include an end-to-end electronic book platform offering a full range of ebook products and services. These include electronic reading devices, an online bookstore where readers can buy ebooks, an online ‘bookshelf’ that lets users store their purchased content, and software that converts content to the company’s ebook format.”

I started hating google big time. For some reason Kindle app is available on every OS. where as Google reader is just available on mac and Android. What about Windows? What about Windows Phone? “Choice” think harder for better sales pitch, Choice is something working for Amazon Kindle not for google.
