Spider-Man will Join the Fantastic Four

(Warning! – Spoiler alert for any who haven’t read the last two Fantastic Four issues.)

Now that the Fantastic Four has been whittled down to only three – following the death last month of the Human Torch, there are even more changes afoot. According to Yahoo News, Marvel’s longtime super group is not only changing names, they are adding a familiar face too.

Spider-Man, also known as New York’s web-slinging guardian, is joining the group which has been newly renamed The Future Foundation.

Starting in FF No. 1, Spidey will join fellow heroes Mr. Fantastic, The Thing and the Invisible Woman in a bid to protect the Marvel universe from new threats. The first issue is reportedly due out March 23.

The Fantastic Four ended their run with issue No. 588 , after the Torch, aka Johnny Storm, died in issue 587. Just like the former series, the new is also written by Jonathan Hickman and drawn by Steve Epting.
