Robin McLeavy

Well the rumors have been flying like mad, but it looks like ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER may have found its Mary Todd. LatinoReview.com reports that Robin McLeavy has bagged the role of Abe Lincoln’s love interest and eventual wife, in the upcoming film.

Word on the street is that director Timur Bekmambetov has decided to cast some new faces in the film, and McLeavy’s casting looks to be falling in with that plan perfectly. Her casting also falls in line perfectly with the description of her character, who is said to be a “petite 20 year old brunette.”

The film is based on the novel of the same name and is a fictionalized creation of the former U.S President that manages to mix historical events with fantasy. Author Seth Grahame-Smith is known for his ability to blend classic figures with old school horror and his Lincoln is an axe-throwing, highly trained vampire assassin.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is currently scheduled to be released on June 22, 2012. .
