ABRAHAM LINCOLN:VAMPIRE HUNTER Casts Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Despite earlier reports, it seems Robin McLeavy will not get to play Mary Todd in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER after all. According to Heat Vision, that honor will instead go to Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), who has been officially cast in the role.

Winstead joins Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln), Dominic Cooper (Henry Sturges), and Anthony Mackie (Lincoln’s best friend Will) in the film based on the same-titled novel by Seth Grahame-Smith that re-imagines the sixteenth president as a vampire slayer during the Civil War. Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) is directing.

Winstead was Ramona Flowers in last year’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and she will next be seen in The Thing. Grahame-Smith also wrote ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.’
