According to The Hollywood Reporter, the screen rights to The New York Times best-seller MOONWALKING WITH EINSTEIN: THE ART AND SCIENCE OF REMEMBERING EVERYTHING by Joshua Foer, have been acquired by Columbia Pictures.

In Moonwalking With Einstein, Foer writes about his experience in the U. S. Memory Championship. Columbia president Doug Belgrad stated: “This is a very special book which transcends the already fascinating subject of memory. By explaining in personal and entertaining fashion a great deal about how our brains work, Joshua has written a book that sheds light on how memory is connected to humanity.”

Moonwalking With Einstein is currently second on Amazon. com’s best-seller list, and will rank third on the New York Times nonfiction best-seller list this weekend. Matt Tolmach will be producing the film, with Hannah Minghella and Rachel O’Conner overseeing for Columbia.
