A CREED IN STONE CREEK By Linda Lael Miller [Blog Tour/Review]

Linda Lel Miller’s new series about the Creed family begins with the book A CREED IN STONE CREEK. We’re introduced to Steven Creed, a Boston lawyer who has relocated himself and his adopted son to Stone Creek Arizona. Steven had spent summers in Stone Creek as a child, and has since bought a fix it up ranch and started his own law practice in town.

Things are great as Steven and Matt (with the help of his new dog) try to get settled and build up the ranch, and then Steven meets Melissa O’Ballivan, the local prosecutor. Well, the story wouldn’t be much of a romance if the two didn’t have chemistry between them, right? And readers won’t be disappointed!

Melissa and Steven’s attraction to each other is mutual from the start. Melisa, being the sensible one, tries to fight it – after all they’ve only known each other four days, but Steven proves to be just a little too charming for her…. and honestly, I don’t blame her.

Steven is one of the most charming characters I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. I dare say he’s perfect. He adopots his best friend’s child after the child’s parents are killed in a car crash, he’s obviously completely smitten with the kid, he let’s him buy a dog on their first day in a new town… he’s sweet, funny, charming… and well, perfect.

The story of A Creed In Stone Creek wasn’t anything new to romance readers. Boy meets girl, girl protects herself from boy, etc… but that’s not to say that the story was bad by any stretch. In fact, I really liked A Creed In Stone Creek!

While it is a romance novel, there is a lot of heart to the characters and you find yourself caring not only about the main players, but also the supporting characters of the town as well. It is well written, funny, steamy, and heartwarming – eveything that you’d want from a romance.

If you’re looking for a good read that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy, I really recommend A Creed In Stone Creek!
