Lauren Conrad Signs a 3-Book Deal With HarperCollins

After the success of her L.A. Candy YA series, former MTV reality star Lauren Conrad has landed another book deal with HarperCollins. The deal is for a new three-book series called The Fame Game, and it’s a spin-off of L.A. Candy. Featuring fictional starlet Madison Parker, The Fame Game is set in the world of reality television, which is something Conrad is familiar with.

In a release, HarperCollins had this to say about The Fame Game:

Madison Parker made a name for herself as best frenemy of girl-next-door-turned-reality-celeb Jane Roberts in the L.A. Candy books. Now she’s ready for her turn in the spotlight and she’ll stop at nothing to get it. But with backstabbing friends and family, relentless paparazzi, and tabloid scandals she can’t control, Madison is going to have her work cut out for her…

Filled with characters both familiar (producer Trevor Lord and sister-from-hell Sophia) and new (Carmen, daughter of Hollywood royalty, and Jill, a struggling musician), Lauren Conrad’s THE FAME GAME dishes gossip and drama at every turn.

The first book in Conrad’s new trilogy will be published in Winter 2012. If you can’t wait that long, there will be a sneak peek in the paperback version of Sugar and Spice, the third book in her L.A. Candy series, which is in bookstores today.
