The Silence of the Lambs Director To Helm Stephen King’s 11/22/63 Film Adaptation

Stephen King’s upcoming novel “11/22/63” hasn’t even hit the shelves and it has been optioned out for a feature film. Noted director Jonathan Demme will take the helm of the project to adapt the novel for the big screen.
The novel follows a high school English teacher who travels back in time in an attempt to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Demme, an Oscar-winning director, will helm the project, write the script, and produce along with King and Ilona Herzberg.
Demme has a history of successfully adapting novels for the big screen. Demme has previously adapted “The Manchurian Candidate,” “Beloved,” and “The Silence of the Lambs” for which he won an Oscar.
